Plan Description

This sprawling estate was designed for the rolling hills of the Midwest. The main body of the house forms an L with the large garage and mudroom, separating the formal entrance from the homes motor court to the right. Through the formal entrance, the home is bisected with the entertaining spaces to the center and right, and the quieter office and primary suite to the left. A closed of staircase was designed to separate sound between the floors, keeping the upper-level kid’s bedrooms and play spaces from disturbing the main level. The axis formed by the garage is continued through the kitchen, formal dining, and screened porch off to the rear of the home. This creates two distinct entertaining spaces, a smaller covered porch off the living room, and a large outdoor pool patio off the guest / pool shed. The pool shed was designed to be the perfect in-law suite and ultimate entertainment loft. The primary suite has an expansive spa like bathroom and dressing room. Traditional touches are places throughout the homes exterior including a bell-shaped cupola on the shed, an eyebrow over the front porch, and several different and unique brackets.
